A Bridge Of Colour Forms

$510.00

50.5cm x 40.5cm

Acrylic on cotton

This painting references the children’s book The Chalk Rainbow: by Deborah Kelly. The use of colourful chalk to navigate the intricacies and challenges of Autism.

In our home, challenges are abundant and navigating them is never a trip from A to B. The idea of traversing these problems with alternative perspectives is something that doesn’t come easily. The Chalk rainbow can be applied daily to just walk out the door.

The bridge of colour refers to the thought process and acknowledgement of emotion required to adapt to the pits that can show up without warning. To think gently and creatively requires a colourful approach. One that shows me how to build a bridge over the roadblocks that come and go in our home.

Please note, in-situ image simulated at true-to-life scale to assist with spatial placement.
