The idea that light can gather without accumulating sound and acknowledgment is a powerful thought to me.
Being a present parent and holding myself accountable to being emotionally available to my children is something I consider to be gathering light. My children are learning these skills and in turn are gathering their own light. Parenting neurodivergent children means less is more. Less sound, demand and instructions leads to more achievements.
To quietly gather all the light to grow emotionally without sound is to meet the needs of my children with a gentle nod - a look of trust that tells them everything they need without overcomplicating with words.
Still a skill that requires a lot of dedication and persistent work.
